Essay

Archival heritage of the museum institutions at the Ukrainian Academy of Sciences, in particular: the Vovk's Kabinet-Museum of Anthropology and Ethnology, the Museum of Theatrical, Musical and Cinematographic Arts of Ukraine, the Museum of Ukrainian Workers of Science and Art, the Kiev Art Gallery (Kyiv National Museum of Russian Art), and the Museum of Art at Academy (the Khanenko's Museum of Arts) are investigated. The chronological framework - 1920-1930-ies. Activity of the museums at Academy is historically reconstructed by personal, chronological, thematic, and territorial-administrative principals. Unique importance of the archive as information source for liberal arts is grounded.
