Essay

This dissertation thesis bases on exploration of demographic and socio-economic changes in Left-Bank Ukraine on the early XX century. Based on wide range of archival sources, press materials, research base historiographic analysis of the social features of the region, factors of the rural population and the impact of agrarian reform of P. Stolypinon resident sof Left-Bank Ukraine. The reveal demographic change in fertility, marriage, death, quantity changes by age, migration the standart of living before and during I World War. Studed influence social problem on the economic Poltava and Chernigiv provinces a parallel between economic crisis and the rise of social tension.
