Essay

This thesis investigated the activity of the OUN and UPA in Bukovina in 1940-1952. Clandestine deals with political, organizational and combat activities of the regional and district OUN detachments. It has been also analyzed the circumstances of creation and combat activities of hundreds and settlements of the UPA. Research efforts of the Romanian government and the provincial OUN establish cooperation in the fight against Soviet troops. A lot of new names and aliases have been disclosed, showing that the OUN and UPA in Bukovina were a significant force in the struggle for the Ukrainian state.
