The study looks into the origins of Western Ukrainian conformism coming as a fact of the social and political life. It studies the social basis of conformists' parties and their ideology. The paper considers the beginnings of different Ukrainian conformists' forces and analyzes the solutions they came up with for the pressing issues Ukrainians faced. It examines the strategy and tactics of the conformists at different periods of time.
