Delia O. The Development of church and historical study of local lore in Poltava region in the second part of XIX century and the beginning of the XX century

Object of research - process of development of church-historical study of local lore in Poltava region in the second part of XIX century and the beginning of the XX century. The purpose of research: reconstruction on the basis of analysis of archival and printed sources, periodic press, monographic researches of a complete picture of development of church-historical study of local lore in Poltava region in the second part of XIX century and the beginning of the XX century. Methods: historical, logic, scientific analysis and synthesis, retrospective, comparative, chronological, biographic, scientific-heuristic, classification and criticism of sources. Scientific novelty: in the dissertation the processes of formation and institualization of church-historical study of local lore in Poltava region are considered complexly; the main directions and contents of church-historical movement in view of local specificity and state-wide context are investigated. The practical value of the dissertation consists in an opportunity of use of its basic ideas and conclusions in development of lecture courses on a history of Ukraine of the second part of XIX century and the beginning of the XX century, history of orthodox church, courses on historiography, generalizing works, devoted to problems of a domestic history, by preparation of the manuals, biographic directories, local lore study descriptions, facultative courses of local lore study, history of museum business. Sphere of use: higher educational institutions, local lore study organization.
