Using a single methodological approach and a set of appropriate research methods on a large research materials allowed to explain patterns of morpho-functional changes in the physical development of students, depending on the type of prevailing autonomous nervous system. Morpho-functional patterns of physical development of students with a predominance of sympathotonic type autonomous nervous system show that they perform high-speed type. Morpho-functional patterns of physical development of students with a predominance normothetic type of autonomous nervous system prove that they perform the inherent power type of work. Morpho-functional patterns of physical development of students with a predominance of parasympathotonic type of autonomous nervous system, prove that they perform the work on endurance.
