Object - professional preparation of the future teachers of the Arts of ihigher educational institution. Purpose - theoretically ground and evaluate experimentally a model of professional mentality development of the future teachers of the Arts. Theoretical results and novelty - at first the essence and structure of notion of "professional mentality of the future teachers of the Arts" are defined; criteria and figures are defined, levels of development of the future teachers of the Arts are characterized; pedagogical conditions of professional mentality development of the future teachers of the Arts are are defined; model of professional mentality development of the future teachers of the Arts has been worked out and tested. Practical results are connected with opportunity of using its main theoretical matirials in study and education in ihigher educational institutions.
