Selevich J. Activity of the Kharkiv Ecclesiastical Consistory in the XIXth century to the beginning of the XXth century

Object of research - Kharkiv Ecclesiastical Consistory in 1800 – 1917. The purpose of research: on the basis of the analysis of sources complex to investigate activity Kharkiv Ecclesiastical Consistory - to find out functions, structure and competence of this body, its office-work; to consider reforms of Eparchy management system. Methods: comparative-historical, historical-genetic, methods of sources study criticism, of the historiography analysis, of archival heuristics and formulary analysis. Scientific novelty: for the first time the activity of Kharkiv Ecclesiastical Consistory – main joint body of Eparchy management – in this period in the XIXth century to the beginning of the XXth century was investigated complexly. The practical value of work: the materials of the dissertation can be used in researches on a history of Eparchy management of the Kharkov Eparchy and Orthodox church as a whole, history of Ukraine, sources study, historical demography, genealogy, during study of an economic situation of Eparchy, formation of penitentiary system, separate locality, families etc. Sphere of use: higher educational institutions.
