Serdyuk I. The Population of the Left-bank Ukraine regiments of the middle XVIII-th century: historical-demographic aspect (on the example of Nizhyn, Pereyaslav and Starodub).

A complex social-demographical research of the population of regiments of Left-bank Ukraine (on the example of Nizhyn, Pereyaslav and Starodub) is accomplished in the Ukrainian historical science for the first time. The author clarified the special features of the urban popularity's age and gender structure. The specific characteristics of the childhood, active and old age with their perception by society of that time are researched in the thesis. The specifics of the demographical behavior of the urban population are clarified too. The reconstruction of the matrimonial practice of the representatives of different social groups is also done in the work with the examples of the individual behavior in the terms of the city. The author determines singularities of the social-demographic characteristics of the Left-bank Ukrainian regiment cities with the comparison with the same characteristics of the city population in the Central-Eastern and Western Europe from the one part and with the village population on Left-bank Ukraine on the other.
