Dissertation is dedicated to the integrative study of the Ukrainian state creation motives, which were identified in writers' journalistic works of the 20th century end - the 21st century beginning. The artists' role was traced in the context of their participation in the establishment of Ukraine as sovereign state. Attention is also paid to their points of view of changes, which took place in the historical direction of our country development.
