Okorokova B. Utopia as an element of public consciousness of transitional time

The dissertation is devoted to the social philosophical analysis of the phenomenon of utopia as an element of public consciousness which is most obviously shown in the society in time of chaotic transformation processes covering all spheres of a person's life. During the research the process of formation of utopian thought and the sources promoting its activization have been revealed. The main attention is accented on the "transitional time" as the basic source of flourishing the utopian thoughts in the society. On the basis of the existing concepts of development of a society in the given work the definition of transitional time has been formulated, its advantage have been grounded, such as: transitional period, transitional stage, transitional society
