Essay

The intensification of multi-stage rapid filters' operation is obtained due to applying the chemical and physical methods of water treatment. Express method for expedient distributing of the necessary coagulant dose on the stages is offered. The phenomenon of dynamic modification of interfacial surfaces of the filter granular during coagulant injecting before the second stage and operating of two-stage devices in flowing-cycled regime has investigated. On this basis the new technology for natural water treatment from suspended and colloid particles has been designed. Complex physicо-chemical, structural, hydraulic and technological investigations are carried out for basalt and carbon-mineral sorbent. On the basis of these granular materials combination on the stages the new technology without reagents for separation of sewage rain water has been designed. Advanced mathematical model of multi-stage filtration has offered for calculation the main technologic parameters of filters operation
