Object: professional education of engineers-to-be in higher educational institutions of engineering sciences; objective: theoretically analyse and check the pedagogical conditions of forming engineers’-to-be need of creative self-realization; methods: analysis of literature, generalization, systematization, interview, questioning, observation, ranking, expert estimation, pedagogical experiment; novelty: the pedagogical conditions of forming engineers’-to-be need of creative self-realization are determined and proved; criteria, indicators and degrees of the engineers’-to-be need of creative self-realization are worked up; results: the program of special course “Creative self-realization of engineers” is worked out; the training-thematic plan, programme of the special course and methodical recommendations for lecturers are published; field – theory and methodology of professional education
