Essay

The thesis is a comprehensive study of development and evolution of socio-political attitudes and civic position of Ukrainian writer, screenwriter, publicist and thinker Oleksandr Dovzhenko. Different types of sources - documentary, descriptive and audio documents - were involved in the research. The steps of historiographical study of the problem are outlined. O. Dovzhenko's attitude towards socio-economic, cultural and national policy of authority is researched in the thesis, interaction of his national landmarks and censorship oppression are analyzed.
