The Thesis is devoted to the investigation of a problem - has a woman-made cinematography work of art any particular features, distinguishing it from that created by a man. For the first time designed gender approach along with several traditional methods for analysis of cinematography works was utilized to solve the problem. The new method is grounded on the three basic ideas. The first is generalized psycho-social woman and man types constructed using scientific (psychological, medical, philosophical) literature and classical fiction. The second is the idea of bisexual psychological nature of a person introduced by O. Weininger, V. Rozanov, I. Khon, et al, which are grounded on psychological, social and medical views. The third is the assertion that each work of art carries the individual imprint of its creator. Based on this approach the analysis of cinematography works of famous woman-film directors L. Rifenstahl, L. Kavanni, K. Muratova, L. Shepit'ko, worked in different epochs and various countries was undertaken. The analysis has revealed that woman creations often combine particular psychological and mental features intrinsic to a woman with those intrinsic to a man. For instance, woman-made work of art possesses enhanced emotionality, sentimentality, vividness and figurativeness which are frequently accompanied by exceptionally man features: philosophical ideas, integrity of the work, logical consistency of the intrigue. The investigation undertaken in the Тhesis demonstrates that: (i) the gender aspect actually does present in the cinematography woman-created works, and (ii) the application of the gender approach reveals unexpected details and particularities of the cinematography creation. Finely, the idea of the necessity of the development of a new gender method for work of art analysis based on the sexual psychological dualism of a person is expressed.
