Stankevich O. Financial report: pragmatics, semantics, structure (based on the Russian language).

The object is printed Russian-language financial reports. The aim is to research the complex linguistic specific character of financial reports as work of language. The methods are linguistic supervision, comparison, generalization, classification, quantitative representation. The thesis deals with the linguistic peculiarities of Russian financial report (FR) as a special type of a text which functions within economic discourse. Economic changes in the society life of the last decades has widened the sphere of people interested in economic communication which led to quantitative and qualitative changes in genre and discourse system of the language. Traditional financial report which should respond to strict standards and be constructed as a table is added by various documents with common content published in mass-media. Non-standard forms of report arise which can have the form of a hypertext or a creolized text, be constructed in free style and have a certain stylistic coloring. Evaluative character can be considered to be the common feature of all reports. Evaluation in financial reports is expressed by various level means of the language which have been regarded in the paper. Application sphere is training.
