Baidevlyatova Y. Serous mastitis of cows: prevalence, diagnostics, therapy and prophylaxis

The dissertation is devoted to studying of symptomatic mastitis of cows, its prevalence, reasons of appearance and peculiarities of clinical course. It gives the argumentation of criteria of early diagnostics of serous mastitis and develops and implements different schemes of therapy and prophylaxis of serous mastitis using ecologically pure drugs. Therapeutic effectiveness of different methods of treatment of cows with serous mastitis showed that complex scheme, which supposed intravenous injection of 2.5 % of Thiotriasolin in dose of 15.0 ml together with application of injured area of mammary gland with the ointment, which contents 30 % solution of dimexid, menthol, anaesthesin and lanolin sufficiently high percentage of recovery among the cows (81.7 %), decreased the amount of complications (18.3 %) and discarded cows (5.0 %), reduced the average recovery period (3.35 days) and improved the rate of milk productiveness restoration (89.0 %). Cost effectiveness of the given method aggregates 238,75 hrn. per head. Scheme of preventive, which supposed intravenous injection of 2.5 % of Thiotriasolin in dose of 15 ml two days before delivery and 24 hours after it, together with application of skin of mammary gland with the ointment, which contents 30 % solution of dimexid, menthol, anaesthesin and lanolin helps to decrease the amount of cases of serous mastitis for 2.4 times, this scheme decreases the risk of complications and makes the character of pathologic process better. Cost effectiveness of the given method is 58,73 hrn. per head.
