Essay

The object of the research: genitals of cows during and after parturition. The objective of the research: to determine the pathognomic prognostic and diagnostic indicators of trauma to the birth canal during parturition by the state of homeostasis and fattening of cows before birth and on their basis to develop a set of treatment and prevention measures. Methods of the research: clinical (general clinical condition of the animal), hematological (morphological, biochemical) statistical (probability of results), sonographic (ultrasound diagnosis of the genital system). Scientific novelty: The analysis of prevalence of injuries of patrimonial ways during parturition depending on age of cows is carried out. The main etiopathogenetic mechanisms underlying uterine dysfunction during calving and leading to trauma to the birth canal have been identified. It was found that they occur due to incoordination of uterine contractions caused by the metabolic disorders in dry cows and immediately before the birth and are characterized by the prenatal hypocalcemia development and lipid mobilization on the background of connective tissue ingredients imbalance of cervical mucus to increase cows’ fattening before calving. Improved and substantiated prognostic and diagnostic tests for complicated calving and the birth canal trauma during childbirth based on the analysis of biochemical parameters of blood, which characterize the state of metabolic processes in the cows’ and heifers’ body directly before parturition. Proposed: Combined use of the drug SensibelskWakes with oxytocin in the complicated stage of fetal excretion in order to prevent soft tissue injuries of the birth canal. Implemented: The materials of the dissertation are used in the educational process at the faculties of veterinary medicine during the study of the discipline "Obstetrics, gynecology and biotechnology of animal reproduction with basics of andrology" in "Veterinary medicine" in agricultural HEIs of III-IV accreditation level and Lviv National SZ Gzhytsky University, Poltava State Agrarian Academy, Podolsk State Agrarian Technical University, Polissya National University, Kharkiv State Zooveterinary Academy and Sumy National Agrarian University), as well as introduced into the scientific process of the Experimental Station of Epizootology IVM NAAS. The results of the research are implemented and effectively used on breeding and dairy farms.
