Essay

The object of research: visual changes of the uterine mucosa, changes of clinical signs, changes in cytological examination, dynamics of hematology test results, dynamics of acute phase protein, histological changes of endometrium, sensitivity of endometrial nuclei cells to estrogen-α, estrogen-β and progesterone receptors in cows with subclinical endometritis, ultrasound diagnosis and treatment of this pathology. The purpose: were to determine the pathogenesis and develop an effective method for the diagnosis and treatment of cows with subclinical endometritis. Research methods: general and special clinical examinations, ultrasound diagnostics, cytological examination of uterine exudate, general blood analysis (leukocytes, erythrocytes and hemoglobin), biochemical (C-reactive protein and haptoglobin), histological (endometrium changes), immunohistochemical (sensitivity to estrogen-α, estrogen-β and progesterone), statistical. Scientific novelty: for the first time in Ukraine, were determine diagnostic criteria for inflammation of the uterus of cows using cytological examination of uterine exudate and hysteroscopy, changes in the uterine mucosa in cows with subclinical endometritis. It was proved that changes of C-reactive protein and haptoglobin in cows with subclinical endometritis can be as biochemical markers in the diagnosis of this pathology. For the first time in Ukraine, immunohistochemical study of the endometrium and sensitivity of cell nuclei to estrogen-α, estrogen-β and progesterone receptors in cows during the physiological estrous cycle and cows with subclinical endometritis were performed. It allowed to supplement scientific data about development of this pathology. In a result of histological examination, new data d about changes in the morphological structure of the endometrium in cow with subclinical endometritis were obtaine. The informativeness of ultrasound examination of the uterus was proved. The use of Metrodec intrauterine suppositories for subclinical endometritis in cows has been developed, experimentally clarified and established, and the effectiveness of the applied treatment has been determined. Technical Terms were created. Proposed: To determine the condition of reproduction in livestock to conduct obstetric and gynecological examinations, which allows to perform diagnose of reproductive disorders. On the basis of obtained data to carry out medical and preventive actions, to create conditions to increase of reproductive indicators of a herd. Diagnose on subclinical endometritis of cows to perform by cytological examination of uterine exudate and by hysteroscopic examination. To use C-reactive protein and haptoglobin as markers of subclinical endometritis in cows. Treatment of cows with subclinical endometritis should be performed with Metrodek intrauterine suppository at a dose of one suppository for 48 hours, or Uterodec suppositories at a dose of five suppositories, every 48 hours until recovery. Implemented: Methods of diagnosis and treatment of subclinical endometritis in cows have been improved and implemented, understanding of the pathogenesis of this pathology has been thoroughly studied. The materials of the dissertation used in scientific research, practical activities and introduced into the educational process in teaching the course "Obstetrics, Gynecology and Biotechnology of Animals" at the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine in Stepan Gzhytskyi National University of Veterinary Medicine and Biotechnologies Lviv, Dnipro State Agrarian and Economic University, National University of Life and Environmental Sciences of Ukraine, Sumy National Agrarian University, Bila Tserkva National Agrarian University.
