Essay

The object of the research is developing of ethnical and political processes in South of Ukraine during revolutions, the civil war and the NEP. The purpose of one is retracing of nature and specialties of general stages of the German and Mennonite peoples' life in South of Ukraine during 1917-1929. The research methods are general (analyze and synthesis) and special in history (problematical, comparative, genitival, statistical). The interpretation of the deep and thorough crisis of the life of the German and Mennonite peoples of South of Ukraine as the main effect of revolution and civil war is proposed. Allaying of the crisis during the NEP policy are presented. The character and reasons of the government policy on the colonist community are determined. The effects of the "Bolshevik" transformation of social, economical, educational and religious spheres in the colonist life are proved. The gradual loss of the social and cultural identity as the price of integrating of the German and Mennonite peoples into the new political system is ascertained. The sphere of using is teaching.7452
