Essay

The results of current research allowed to state an important role of nitric oxide synthesis system in ensuring a high adaptive capacity of circulatory system. It's shown that the main contribution to the total NO synthesis in bodies of people with high cardiovascular system's adaptive capacity is made due to the oxidation path of nitric oxide formation involving cNOS, the next goes an oxygen-free path of L-arginine metabolism involving iNOS and NO synthesis reutilization with the participation of nitrate reductase. There's a supposition that the possible physiological mechanisms of the positive effects of nitric oxide on the level of the circulation system's adaptive capacity are the effects of "post-synaptic potentiation", the inhibitory effects of gamma-aminobutyric acid.
