Міrushchenko O. Economic policy of Russian Government in Zaporizhzhya of the Nova Sich period (1734-1775)

The object of research: economic processes that took place in Southern Ukrainian region in the times of Nova Sich. The aim of research: to analyze economic policy of the Russian Government towards Zaporizhzhya, to trace its evolution and define the influence on economic processes that took place on the territory of Zaporizhzhya Area. The subjec of research: economic policy of the Russian Government in times of Nova Sich which showed itself in territorial expansion of the Russian Government to Zaporizhzhya lands, introduction of the new trade law and setting control over the money circulation in Zaporizhzhya. The methods of research: analysis, synthesis, synchronistic, chronological, historical comparison, method of archive and bibliographic heuristics, hermeneutic. The results of research and novelty: historical conditions of economic development of Zaporizhzhya Area are considered. Demographic processes of the territory of the Area are studied. The measures taken by the Russian Empire to enhance the financial system of the country and the place of Zaporizhzhya Area in those processes are reviewed. The influence of economic policy of Russia on the development of the sectors of Zaporizhzhya economy is analyzed. The sphere of usage: further scientific development of the issues of establishment of relations of Zaporizhzhya Cossacks with neighbor countries, political and social and economic development of Southern Ukrainian region; in teaching of history of Ukraine and Russia, military history, economic history of Ukraine in the universities.
