Essay

The dissertation is devoted to complex research of the activity of zemstvo establishments of Chernigiv province in provision of population. The basic stages of activity of district and Chernigiv province zemstvos in food sphere are outlined, the directions and the content of practical activity are described. The transformation of approaches of zemstvo figures to the decision of food question is reflected. The factors which conditioned the specific of zemstvo activity in provision of population are revealed.
