On the basis of analyses of the modern science and theoretical researches in the field of postgraduate education, the generalization of the experience of the practical activity of the institutions of the postgraduate education and higher education institutions, the essence and structure of the phenomenon of teacher's methodical competence of the humanitarian branches of learning was determined. A conceptual model of its development, which includes special model, humanistic and professional environment; rich in content, methodical and successful models and organizational and pedagogical conditions; social and organizational interaction of the institutions of the postgraduate education and higher educational institutions; humanization of professional environment, the introduction of the special course "Methodics of teaching of humanitarian branches of learning in the conditions of the humanization of education" and its scientific and methodical securing; the application of the new technologies of the teaching, the utilization of the technologies of the scientific and methodical accompaniment of the selfdevelopment of the teacher's methodical competence of the humanitarian disciplines of the higher institutions on the basis of the pedagogical technologies of the selfprojecting has been made and theoretically well-founded.
