Shaikhatdinov A. Cultural identity of ethnic minorities of Donetsk region at the turn of the XXth.-XXI-th. centuries.

The thesis views the problems of renaissance and development of ethnic minorities' cultural identity in Donetsk region in the conditions of Ukrainian statehood establishment. Ethnic structure of Donetsk region is characterized, peculiarities of territorial deployment of the main ethnic groups in the region and dynamics of their number at the periods of their census in 1989 and 2001 are defined. Development of political-legal life-activity base of ethnic minorities in Ukraine is analyzed; the process of state ethno-policy's realization at the regional level is reproduced. Processes of ethnic self-organization of Greek, Jewish, German and other ethnic minorities of the region are investigated, periods of the ethnic movements, specificity of self-organization of the Russian in Donbas region are singled out.
