Object: formation of professional orientation of medical specialities students; aim: theoretical grounds and experimental control of pedagogical conditions that improve the process efficiency in formation of professional orientation of future doctors at the initial stage of education in the process of professional development; methods: literature analysis, questioning, pedagogical experiment, pedagogical monitoring; novelty: the pedagogical conditions of the formation of professional orientation of medical specialities students at the initial stage of education were grounded, the essence of concept “professional orientation of medical specialities students” is theoretically grounded; results: working programme of Introductory course “University education”, the theses as to the implementation of pedagogical monitoring; field – theory and methodology of professional education.
