Samara O. Psychological factors determining coping behavior of the members of rescue emergency units.

Object of the study -stress-coping behavior of the personality. Subject of investigation -psychological peculiarities of stress-coping behavior of the staff of emergency rescue units of the Ministry of Emergency Measures of Ukraine. Methods of research. For the decision of the put tasks drawn on the complex of methods of research of problem: the system structural method, method of analysis and generalization of relevant sources of information, method of scientific observation, method of psychological and diagnostic evaluation, method of statistical analysis. Scientific novelty of the results:psychological peculiarities of coping strategies and personality coping resources were established during realization of different types of coping behavior;factor structure of the coping behavior and specific features of coping strategies of personalities with different level of adaptation potential was established;the importance of individual psychological and psycho-social variables in determination of adaptive and maladaptive types of coping behavior was described;current knowledge regarding prerequisites of adaptive coping behavior was amplified and psychocorrectional measures aimed to build adaptive coping were suggested;approaches and practical measures in psychological aid during professional activity of the staff of emergency rescue units of the Ministry of Emergency Measures of Ukraine were enhanced. The practical significance of the study: obtained help further enhancement of the quality of measurement, prognosis and promotion of adaptive coping behavior of firemen/rescue staff, can be utilized for the increase of efficiency of individual work in psychotherapy and consultative practice, in industry of psychological help for overcoming the crisis states;methodical complex for additional researches of internal resources of acme of personality can be drawn on the developed; the results of theoretical and practical researches can be used in educational courses and special courses on general, differential, рsychology of crisis states, psychologyof emotions for preparation of specialists in industries of psychology, social workers.
