The goal of the dissertation: to research the working of magical thinking on the example of Ukrainian medical magic and its symbolic system. The object: the anthropological bases of medical magic as the phenomenon of Ukrainian folk medicine. The methods: individualisation, generalisation, the study of sources, the structural-functional method and a principally new author's analytic method. Results: the anthropological classiffication of Ukrainian folk medicine rites and the fractal building of the traditional folk medical notions symbolic system are carried out.
