Berezovyj M. The increase of the railway stations work efficiency by means of the sorting tracks specialization improvement

The object of research is a process of the train formation at the sorting stations. The aim of the research is the reduction of the maintenance costs connected with the train formation at the sorting stations by means of the more effective application of the technical devices of the marshalling yards. For researching train-forming process in the marshalling yards there was designed three-level hierarchical models system: microlevel - separate cut rolling down model, macrolevel - train braking-up model, metalevel - model of the whole work of the marshalling yard. With the help of designed models there were received the dependences of station operation techno-economic performance on the characteristics of car traffic volume for braking-up and the characteristic of the sorting tracks where they are accumulated. The technical and economic assessment methods of the tracks specialization were designed. The sorting tracks optimal assignment search between car traffic destinations is made with the help of the branches and boundaries method.
