Essay

The dissertation focuses on the investigation of the Social Care system for the Patriotic War disabled veterans during the war and in the first afterwar five-year period. Using the considerable quantity of sources the author analyzed the measures of the state social protection of the disabled war veterans who fought in the front lines, the main of which was their, employment. The investigation showed the causes of changes in the attitude of the Ukrainian Soviet government to the disabled veterans, which took place in autumn 1946. The results and the efficiency of the care taken by different state authorities after the disabled veterans were shown.
