Tsependa M. Regional Water Resource Potential Economic Assimilation Analysis (Based on the Materials Available for the Mid-Dniester Basin)

The essence and the structure of the notion of the water resource integral potential are disclosed, theoretical and methodical bases for the potential's structure and volume assessment were deepened, its essential components and resources - defined and described. Economic-geographic assessment of Mid-Dniester Basin water resource potential major components was carried out, as well as the components' territorial differentiation and provision per inhabitant within the Dniester River first-order affluent basin of over 25 km were defined. The levels of regional water resource potential and its components' economic assimilation were assessed. The ways for further rationalization of regional water resource potential use were substantiated as based on the principles of balanced development.
