In the thesis the analysis of moral and ethical education in the Ukrainian family in the second half of the XIX century - the beginning of the XX century is researched systematicaly and completely; the reasons of formation and development of the Ukrainian family are taught; the process of formation of values of moral and ethical education of the certain period is researched; the role of collaboration between the family, school and church is determined in the process of formation of moral and ethical culture of the personality; the practice of education of moral and ethical values of the children and youth in the Ukrainian family is analysed in the second half of the XIX century - the beginning of the XX century.
