Features of life of the Kherson and Odesa diocese are investigational in the conditions of becoming of the totalitarian system in 1918-1939. Considerable attention is spared to the analysis of evolution of religious situation at diocese depending on the change of the state-political state of affairs in Ukraine, reasons are found out and the specific of dissidence of orthodox church is distinguished in a South Ukrainian region. Realization of property policy of the soviet state is described in a religious sphere, basic directions of realization of atheistic propaganda are educed, reasons and methods of repressive measures of the soviet special services are found out against clergy and believers of Kherson and Odesa diocese.
