The dissertation is devoted to the social and valuable content of economic activity of a person. The theoretical and methodological elements of investigation of economic sphere of a person's life and stages of problems development are determined. The use of classical economic analysis methods concerning this problem appears to be insufficient and comes to finding out a person's role only as a producer and a consumer of the material welfare and as the subject of relations of production. Involving basic philosophical and cognitive principles, approaches and methods enables us to take into consideration intrinsic, notional, structural, valuable aspects; motivation, determination and consequences of activity. The transformation of a person's economic activity under conditions of modern social challenges is investigated. The peculiarities of a person's economic activity formation are analysed.
