Batalov O. Empire as a type of social and historical organization

The object of the research - types of social organization in historical prospect. The purpose of the thesis work is to analyze the complex phenomenon of empire as a specific type of social and historical organization. The methodological grounds of the research are the post-structural, neo-Marxist, structural and functional, and world-system analysis. The prognostic research of the present in the format of empire is also used in the research together with the components of such methods as analytical, comparative, synthesis, phenomenological, deconstruction. The scientific novelty of the received results of dissertation research is in the development of complex theoretical approach to the analysis of empire, which allows to analyze the phenomenon of empire in several projections: global plane (world-system analysis), genealogy (political anthropology), the one of institutional organization (structural and functional analysis), the one of the prospects for the evolution of empire types (post-structural and neo-Marxist analysis). The theoretical value of the research is in the development of complex theoretical approach to the analysis of empire as a type of social and historical organization, which allows to analyze the phenomenon of the empire more completely. The theoretical developments of the dissertation may be used in the researches on the stated range of problems in such disciplines as social philosophy, political science, political sociology, philosophical anthropology, social psychology. The practical value of the research is in the possibility to use the received results for development of strategy concepts of foreign policy of Ukraine.
