Essay

The dissertation deals with the methodology and methodological foundations of the overall technical content of training to future teachers of technology. The role of general technical knowledge in the structure of professional training to teacher of technology was defined. The function of science as a source of general technical knowledge was determined, specific character of technique and technology as an object of general technical knowledge was analyzed. The system of general technical knowledge as an integral part of training to future teachers of technology was substantiated and the integrated approach was proposed to its definition; scientific, technical and general technical teaching links were found and on this basis the content of general technical knowledge as an objective reflection of technical knowledge was disclosed. The analysis of techniques and technology of modern production facilities as general technical training was performed. The criteria for selection, the selection and structuring of general technical knowledge were developed. The effectiveness of the suggested methodology was verified and confirmed during the experimental teaching.
