Kizlova A. Kyiv Orthodox Sacred Objects in the Spiritual and Social Life of Kyivans (late 18-th ct. - first decades of 20-th ct.)

Thesis is dedicated to the problem of the miraculous icons and relics of Kyiv perception by the kyivans and value of these sacred objects in the social environment of Kyiv. On the basis of wide circle of sources the topography of the Kyiv orthodox sacred objects in the end XVIII - the first decades of XX ct. was reconstructed, the traditional and new methods of their honoring are certain, the different social levels of perception of sacred objects by the residents of Kiev are shown, and the variantness and changeability in time of place in a temple and thing environment of miraculous icons and relics and factors which influenced on it are analyzed. In particular, the permanent and changeable looks of servants of Church to the sacred objects of their temple, place of these sacred objects in the temple frame of society are found out, the inherent are investigational to the representatives of different social stratums of the kyivans of idea about that, how it is needed to honor sacred objects, the system of general kyivans' opinions about the sacred objects of their city is recovered and social meaningfulness of this sacred objects is found out.
