The history of the Skarzhynsky family, who lived in the south of Ukraine more than 150 years ago has been depicted on the base of historical literature and published sources archive materials. Dynastic Relations of the Skarzhynskys with the families of the Bulatsels, Miloradoviches, Miklashevskys and Popudovs have been taken into consideration. Also the part the Skarzhynskys played in military, economic and cultural histjry of the south of Ukraine has been determined.
