Kulieshova G. Socio-geographical features of border sociogeosystems (by the example of Kharkov region)

The object of the research is Kharkov region as border sociogeosystem. Purpose is revealing of social-geographical features of Kharkov region as border sociogeosystem and definition of the problems and perspectives of his development. Such methods of research as general scientific, particular-scientific and special have been used in this work. Theoretical and practical results and the novelty value include: for the first time definition of border of sociogeosystem is offered; historical and geographical aspects of Kharkov region formation were established, tendencies of natural and migratory population movement, of business activity, of external economic ties and cross-border cooperation were exposed. Factors which influence sociogeoprocesses in border sociogeosystems are lightened. Spatio-temporal features of demographical situation, economic and social development of Kharkov region were analyzed based on cluster analysis. Modeling of trajectory of development of area level sociogeosystems in multidimensional normalized space was made and their grouping based on semigraphical method of multidimensional classification of socio-geographical objects was conducted. Results of this work can be used by local authorities at development of programs of socioeconomic development and planning of the directions of expansion of participation of areas in cross-border cooperation.
