Essay

This thesis is intended for explaining of social and philosophic rules in the comparative example (pattern) of family and matrimonial relations. Basing on the analysis of main social-philosophical and anthropological theories of XX century the author suggests his own definitions of terms like "matrimony" and "family" in the context of global economic changes, social-political, cultural and outlook life of Western-European civilisation. This problem is studied on the basis of research classification on two approaches: conservative and liberal. This division derives from approach of researchers towards the phenomenon of changes in the family life and treatment of family from two different points of view - procreationism or "being together" (creation of social community). This thesis proves that two approaches are opposite one to another and in practice they do not (cannot) enter the level of a dialog because of different explanations of terms "family" or "matrimony". Also these approaches are before danger of degradation to their extreme manifestation of relativism (liberalism) or utilitarianism (conservatism).
