Chornous S. Modifications of the Travel Genre in the creative work of J. I. Krashevski.

The dissertation studies the important scientific problem, which concerns the originality of travel genre and functional peculiarities of travelling literature. The development of travel genre in Polish Literature is investigated in this thesis. Special attention is paid to the works written in this genre by J. I. Krashevsky. The objects of this research are such works as "Memories about Polisya, Volyn and Lithuania", "Memories about Odessa, Budjak, Jedysan", "Pictures from life and travelling", "Travel writings". The evolution and typology of travel genre and its fiction characteristics in Polish Literature, especially in J. I. Krashevsky's works, are firstly analyzed in this research paper.
