Essay

The present dissertation is dedicated to scientific motivation of formation and diversification of filter unwoven materials existing range. The basis for research is complex quality evaluation of unwoven materials having different fiber composition for manufacturing bag-type filters, research of their performance on metal production enterprises and defining the advantages for further improvement of range and quality. The method of accelerated thermal ageing at peak temperatures for filter unwoven materials have been developed, which allows predicting the performance of bag-type filters in the process of industrial operation on enterprises. The principles of commercial and new filter unwoven materials depreciation in conditions of real operating have been analyzed in the present dissertation work. New data on depreciation properties of unwoven materials in bag-type filters during operation in filtering units have been received. The kinetics of unwoven materials depreciation in laboratory conditions and kinetics of bag-type filters made from those materials in conditions of real operating were compared. The study results have been proved that new filter unwoven materials on the basis of heat-resistant fibers have better performance characteristics compared to polyether materials used nowadays in the industry. The relevance and economic efficiency of introduction those results into industrial operation in Ukraine was proved. Therefore, economic effect from introduction into operation of new heat-resistant filter bonded fabric made of arselon fibers (for 20 000 sq.m.) is as follows: compared to nomex fibers - 1 092 000 UAH, polyimide fibers - 9 804 000 UAH.
