Essay

The new idea to organization of social-pedagogical work with vulnerable families with children is theoretically generalized and developed in the thesis. The vision is based on the integrated approach, whilst the essence of integration is presented as a process where community social institutes cooperate for the benefit of addressing the needs of vulnerable families with children. For the first time, "vulnerable families with children" are defined and vulnerable groups of families with children are differentiated according to their basic characteristics. The functionally-semantic model of social-pedagogical activity of ІSSFC is argued, the main components of which are specialized social services (early interference, support to family for accompaniment of family types of upbringing, reintegration of children from institutional care establishments, accompaniment of children in conflict with law and others). The discussed organizational and pedagogical terms have been experimentally tested (interdepartmental co-operation and partnership, enhanced activity of community; measures aimed at capacity building for professionals in the social domain; normative and legal regulation of work of the integrated social services), which has proved that their introduction with the use of social-pedagogical technologies of work with vulnerable families with children provides for the effective work of the integrated social services for vulnerable families with children.
