Object: professional development of future television reporters in higher education institutions; objective: to prove theoretically and check experimentally the effectiveness of the pedagogical conditions of formation of professional thinking of future television reporters in the process of their professional development, methods: analysis of scientific literature, questionnaire, interview, testing, analysis of creative and educational activity products, educational experiment, methods of mathematical statistics; novelty: the effectiveness of the pedagogical conditions of formation of professional thinking of future television reporters in the process of their professional development was proved theoretically and checked experimentally; results: the education programmer and methodological and educational guidelines for "Fundamentals of professional thinking of future television reporters" course, the content-integrative units for the courses concerning special subjects, the a television reporter’s glossary, the creative assignments bank for preparation of an information product, the project concerning work of professionally oriented creative association of students „Young reporters’ studio” in educational television studio were created; field: theory and methodology of professional education
