Essay

Object: humoral regulation of gastric secretion on dogs. Aim: To investigate the influence of taurine on gastric secretion in chronic experiments on dogs with gastric fistula tubes and to determine the role of parasympathetic and sympathetic division of autonomic nervous system and nitric oxide in realization of taurine influences on gastric secretion. Methods: The chronic experiments were conducted on dogs with gastric fistula tubes implanted by V.A.Basov in I.P.Pavlov modification operative method. Changes of quality content of gastric juice investigated at the aid of biochemical methods. In blood plasma simultaneously determined concentration of glucose and adenil system components by spectrophotometry method. Results: Determined that taurine did not alter gastric secretion out of the digestion but it acts as modulator in mechanisms of regulation of gastric secretory function. Taurine at the dose of 1,4 mg/kg body weight and 7 mg/kg body weight in dogs significantly enhances gastric secretion stimulated by histamine, increasing the volume of gastric juice, content free gastric acid, pepsine and common proteins. Quantity of gastric secretory response depend on time interval between administration of taurine and histamine. Most significant effect of taurine was observed in its administration 14 hour before histamine injection. It was shown that the blockade nitric oxide synthesis by L-NAME did not alter taurine action on histamine stimulated gastric secretion, that evidence what nitric oxide did not participate in regulatory influence of taurine on gastric secretory function. At the blockade of synaptic transmission in parasympathetic (mainly) and sympathetic autonomic ganglia enhancing effect of taurine on histamine stimulated gastric secretion considerably decreases wich indicate on participation of central nervous system in realization taurine effects on gastric secretion. At the blockade of acetylcholine receptors effect of taurine was lesser expressed than at the blockade of adrenoreceptors that proves the leading role of parasympathetic division of autonomic nervous system in realization of taurine influences. It is introduced in pedagogical process in Taras Shevchenko Kyiv national university. Field of the use: physiology, biochemistry, pharmacology.
