LESCHCHYSHYN R. State and Problems of Development of the Ukrainian Press in Stanyslaviv Voivodeship (1921 – 1939th)

The dissertation in history of development of the Ukrainian press in Stanyslaviv voivodeship in 1921 – 1939th is based on the analysis of the wide range of sources, results of domestic and foreign historiography. The evolution of quantitative and qualitative growth of the Ukrainian press in period of the Polish occupation is observed, the factors which had influence on its development, are discovered. The policy of the Polish state concerning the Stanyslaviv voivodeship and its influence on the development of the local Ukrainian press in the period between the First and the Second World Wars are analysed. The legal status of the Ukrainian press according to the Polish normative legal documents and the peculiarities of the real execution of these laws are determined. Big attention is paid to the Polish state censorship and the controlling policy of the Polish state. Then the influence of the Christian confessions, political and public organizations on the development of the Ukrainian press in Stanyslaviv voivodeship is determined. Enough attention is paid to the thematic filling of the Ukrainian press and the role of the Polish state in creation in the given voivodeship the servility Ukrainian press.
