Aveskulova I. Enlightenment and pedagogical activity of Imperial Russian Music Society in Ukraine (the last part of the 19th century - the early part of the 20th century)

Object -music education in Ukraine (the last part of the 19th century - the early part of the 20th century) ; aim - to analyse theoretical aspects and summarize practical forms of enlightenment and pedagogical activity of Imperial Russian Music Society (IRMS) in Ukraine (the last part of the 19th century - the early part of the 20th century) in order to improve enlightenment and pedagogical activity of present day educational institutions; methods - theoretical, empirical; novelty - the research has been the first one to present an integral analysis of theory and practice of enlightenment and pedagogical activity of IRMS in Ukraine within the chronological period of the last part of the 19th century and the early part of the 20th century, the essence of the notion "enlightenment and pedagogical activity of IRMS" as an activity directed at general culture forming, widening musical awareness of population and provision of professional musical education has been specified, new sources (35 documents) have been introduced for scientific analysis on the problem of research; results - the teaching course " Musical Education in Ukraine" has been worked out; field - pedagogy
