The thesis shows the problem in philosophical, socio-pedagogical, historico-pedagogical, psychological contexts; it discovers the essence and the content of aesthetic education in modern out-of-school institutions; it has been studied the genesis of aesthetic education establishment in Ukrainian out-of-school institutions; it has been substantiated the periodization of aesthetic education development in out-of-school institutions in 1954-199l's. The dissertation contains the analysis of USSR out-of-school institutions range establishment in studied period, the research describes their structure, role and place of institutions with an artistically-aesthetic bias in it.
