Belozorova N. Development of Primary Education in Ukraine (second part of the XIXth - beginning of the XXth century)

Object - primary education in Ukraine (second part of the XIXth - beginning of the XXth century); aim - to systematize theoretical aspects and generalize practical experience of the development of primary education in Ukraine in the East-Ukrainian region in particular, accumulated during the second part of the XIXth and at the beginning of the XXth century with the aim to use the positive achievements of the past nowadays ; methods - historical, general-scientific, comparative, chronological; novelty - the thesis presents the first comprehensive historical-pedagogical analysis of the theory and practice of primary education development in Ukraine in the East-Ukrainian region in particular during the second part of the XIXth and at the beginning of the XXth century, pre-conditions for the development of the primary school network in the East-Ukrainian region during the period under research are characterized, the data concerning the content, methods and forms of primary education in the East-Ukrainian region schools are specified and singled out, new documents and literary sources on the problem (25 units) are introduced for scientific study; results - the theoretical ideas justified in the course of research and factual material on primary school functioning in Ukraine during the period under study have been used in working out of a special teaching course "Development of primary education in Ukraine (second part of the XIXth - beginning of the XXth century); field - pedagogy
