Essay

Interjections are one of the strongest means of emotive expression of communicative content, they are an integral component of a communicative process due to their special functional coloring which consists in spontaneous expression of emotions, voluntative intention and representation of ambient sounds. Interjections are divided into three groups: emotive interjections, imperative interjections and onomatopoeias, where emotive interjections fulfill the function of emotion expression, imperative interjections - voluntative function, and onomatopoeias - the function of sound reproduction. Among emotive interjections, one-word emotive interjections and interjection phrases are distinguished.
